Another fine sunny day and a good walk down to the cove and then back via the Lower Horse paddock. A few highlights with two female/juvenile Sparrowhawks over Bumpers Lane, a male Stonechat, a Redwing and a Song Thrush in the Lower Horse Paddock, and 4 Greenfinch in Broadcroft Quarry Lane.

Along the railway cuttings there were 4 Grey Squirrels and on Penn's Weare there was a White-tailed Bumblebee.

Here are a few images and videos from today:

In the Lower Horse Paddock was this lone Redwing.

Here is a short video of it feeding and then a.........

..........few seconds later it was joined by a Song Thrush

Also in the horse paddock was this male Stonechat. Yet again there was no sign of the female.

This male Greenfinch was one of four along Broadcroft Quarry lane.

A scarce sight on Portland, but along this lane they do keep turning up.

It was another good day for Robins, especially in Penns Wood, where there were at least 5 birds singing.

The sun silhouetting the cliffs along Portland's east coast.

Oh dear it looks like Ted is about to plunge into the muddy puddle.
